Rockbottom

I know what’s appropriate
I know what to do,
what to say
and what not to say

I have become an expert in keeping matters in the dark
maybe even to much of an expert,
I even tend to keep them hidden from myself

I’m not made of stone,
happenings make an impact on me
both happiness and sorrow
I try to live in the present,
in the present I’m happy
but once in a while the past and the future catch up with me

I’m only human
don’t you forget that,
